Yes Reuben is 7.5 months old...No he still doesn't sleep through the night. In fact on a regular night he will feed 2/3 times but if he's teething/going through a development leap/having a growth spurt he usually reverts back to 2 hourly. Exhausting i know!

Reuben has always been exclusively breastfed and although it was very tough in the early days from 6 weeks onward it just started to click for us. Now though he is distracted by every tiny little thing during the day and will pull off several times resulting in him being covered in milk. (not that he cares).

Before bed and during the night our feeds are peaceful. He will snuggle in and "get on with it" I don't get hit, scratched, my hair pulled or my nipple stretched further than i imagined possible. Its just the two of us lit by only a soft red glow. He's calm and happy. He takes the perfect amount of milk for him (whatever that is) and i get my fix of lovely cuddles as there's no chance of this during the day! We both get a hit of sleepy hormones and return to our slumber easily.

Yes it would be nice to get a full nights sleep, but this like most things is just a phase in our babies lives and in years to come i'm sure ill miss our late night feeds... Our us time!
