"Congratulations, you're pregnant! is it a boy or a girl?"
Times really have changed, I feel it's now much more popular to find out the sex of your unborn child that the above sentence is a very typical response to pregnancy news. I'm not sure on actual statistics but I feel like you're in the minority if you don't find out the sex prior to birth.
I know it isn't for everyone but as soon as we found out we were pregnant we both said right from the start we didn't want to find out the sex of the baby. For me personally I have always felt this way and was glad my husband agreed.
Below are the reasons I believe its awesome not to know
Surprise - You don't get many surprises in life and this surprise is good no matter which way it goes.
Save - You will save money as you tend to only buy the basics and necessity's as there are only so many gender neutral options available and what you do buy you'll be able to re-use with any future children.
Euphoria - The feeling you get once your baby is born and you're finally told the sex is indescribable. It's the ultimate reward for all your hard work and if you were really hoping for a certain sex the disappointment will be less with your baby in your arms than in a cold, dark ultrasound room.
Fun - Its super exciting for everyone else too. People will love predicting what sex your baby is and finding out if they were right or wrong once the baby is born.
Mystery - The name is more likely to be kept a surprise as you have to think of twice as many. This all adds to the fun.
If we're lucky enough to have any other children we will 100% be keeping the gender a surprise again. For me pregnancy was long and rather un-enjoyable but the wondering of who this tiny little person my body was growing and nurturing was amazing and made me even more motivated to get through my labour.

I'd love to know how many of you agree with me or are thinking about not finding out?!
