Birthday gifts for a one year old

Its been a couple of weeks since Reuben turned one and he received some lovely gifts for his birthday so i thought i would share with you some of our favourites. Hopefully you may find some inspiration from the following items.

Halilit toddler music orchestra set

Reuben loves anything he can make a noise with and this set has proved a big hit. The products are really well made and when you look at the individual prices the set is really good value for money.

Wooden round clock

This puzzle clock is all wood and is really well made, the colours are bright and the hands of the clock move. there are lots of different shapes to sort and its a gift to really grow into. This can be used to help teach telling the time and the puzzle sorter section is more advanced that your standard sorter. You can also use this for learning counting and colours so for the price this really packs a punch!

Wooden stacking train

Reuben actually received two stacking trains but its fine as they are both different and he happens to love them and plays with both. They are great for fine motor skills and imaginative play. As the trains are wooden they are really well made and will last a long time. The colours are also lovely and bright.

Wooden skittles

These little animal skittles are adorable, they all have different textured ears are lovely and bright and have the numbers with a pattern relating to the number on. Reuben doesn't roll the ball to knock them down yet but he does like playing with them. They are great for imaginary play and again are a toy that grows with the child.

Garden toys

Reuben received a sandpit with some toys for his birthday and also a rocking horse. He loves being outside so these are great for him and he plays with them daily. I would say if your child is a spring/summer baby then these make great birthday present and don't take up a huge amount of space.

Bubble machine

All children love bubbles. They find them mesmerising so a bubble machine is a great gift. they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and match any budget. The one we received is in the form of a lawnmower.

Clothes and books

Clothes and books never go amiss and Reuben received some lovely items to grow into. always keep in mind the season if they wont fit right away.
