Tips for keeping your house as cool as possible in the heat!

Since we are experiencing a heat wave at the moment i thought i'd share with you all some tips iv'e picked up to help keep your house as cool as possible in the hot weather. Hopefully there's something in here that may help you out!

1. Whichever side of your house the sun is shining on make sure the windows and blinds/curtains are kept shut!

2. The side in shade is the side where you need to have the windows and blinds/curtains open!

3. you should adjust these throughout the day as the sun moves to ensure no sun is shining in!

4. Once the sun has gone down/isn't shining on your windows open all the windows and blinds to circulate some air through!

5. We are unable to have Reuben's window open whilst he sleeps as lots of children play outside so we have a fan on in the room and if you place a bottle of frozen water in front of the fan it will circulate cool air bringing the room temperature down!

By following the above steps you should be able to keep your house temperature down slightly in this crazy hot weather making it a little more comfortable for all.
