As 2018 comes to a close I imagine many of us are thinking about the year ahead and what we may like to achieve. Iv'e never been one to set solid new years resolutions but I do like to think about things I want to achieve, change or do. I don't always stick to them and sometimes I change my mind and that's fine as life sometimes ends up taking an unexpected turn but I do think its good to have something to work towards. Be that short term or long term.

The main thing I want to achieve in the new year is to start training again. Before I had Reuben I was always strong, fit and healthy. This stems from being a dancer the majority of my life. I always imagined i'd stay super active during pregnancy and be able to bounce back after having a baby. This simply wasn't the case. I had a rough pregnancy meaning I didn't train at all and since Reuben's arrival I haven't been able to get into and stick to a routine. I don't hate my post partum body, but I cant say I truly love it either. The only person who can change that is me!

As a family we are going to enjoy our first holiday abroad and the grandparents will be coming along to! I feel like I need to enjoy and take advantage of another all inclusive holiday before even thinking about adding to our family! I want to make memories with Reuben and enjoy this special one on one time.

I need to get better at making time for myself instead of putting myself to the bottom of the list every time! Of course as a parent we have to make sacrifices but towards the end of the year I've totally burnt myself out and I've been suffering because of it. I need to get better at self care as a happy mummy equals a happy household!

I want to spend my money wisely. As i'm getting older i'm realising that it's sometimes better to spend your money on experiences and enhancing yourself/knowledge. I have a keen interest in photography and have taught myself to shoot in manual but don't have a lot of time to practice and perfect this. I would like to dedicate some time in 2019 to enhancing and bettering my skills/knowledge in this area. I would like to attend a course and get some hands on learning/experience.

I would like to be healthier in general. Drink more water, eat more fruit, book medical and dental appointments and take time out and rest. I want to set good examples for Reuben and set him on the right path for the future. He's at the age now where he's like a sponge, taking everything in. I want him to see positive things and grow up with a positive attitude towards himself and his health.

I'd love to hear what some of your goals are for 2019?
